Interestingly, Saint Lucia is a Caribbean island, which is considered to be a tax heaven.

Modi has been facing financial regularities in the IPL, which led him fleeing the country.

In May 2010, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had also registered a money-laundering case against Modi.

In fact, in August 2015, Justice PR Bhavake had issued a non-bailable warrant against Modi in connection with the case.

According to a report in India Today, Modi has applied citizenship for his entire family. However, the Carribean Island is strict when it comes to issuing passports.
