Srinagar: Schoolgirls and a woman separatist group today took out rallies in the city here to observe International Women`s Day.
Dozens of school girls, in uniforms, marched on the Boulevard road here to commemorate the women`s day.
The girls were carrying placards in support of the women`s rights and denouncing crimes against the fairer sex including dowry related cases, female feoticide and child rights violations. In a separate rally, six members of the all-woman Muslim Khwateen Markaz led by Zamrooda Habib staged a sit-in at the Residency Road here. PTI
