Pak High Commissioner hopes for India-Pakistan final in 2016 World T20

New Delhi: The proposed bilateral cricket series might not happen any time soon, but
Pakistan's Hugh Commissioner to India, Abdul Basit is hoping for a final between the two trouble neighbours when the sixth edition of ICC Twenty20 World Cup happens next year.
Speaking at the Aaj Tak 'Agenda' on Saturday, Basir said, "I hope both teams (India and Pakistan) will be playing in the finals."
India-Pakistan final or not, cricket enthusiasts will nonetheless see the arch-rivals play a blockbuster group game in the picturesque Dharamsala on March 19.
For the record, Pakistan have never beaten India in a World Cup match. And India won the inaugural tournament, beating Pakistan in South Africa in 2007.

Besides, the career diplomat is hopefull that the neighbours will soon resume the bilateral cricket series.
"We expect that there will be positive response," Basit added.
