The 37-year-old has had a decent outing in the ongoing Ranji season where he scored 92 runs in Haryana's first match against Maharashtra and followed it with scores of 37 and 51 against his old team.
The swashbuckling right-hander had hinted about retiring from international cricket at a conference in Dubai on October 19 and made his retirement official through a statement he issued on October 20, which was also his birthday.
