Ranji Trophy: Umang Sharma`s 195 put UP on driver`s seat against Baroda

Greater Noida: Umang Sharma blasted an unbeaten 195 to power Uttar Pradesh to a mammoth 466-7 in their first innings against Baroda on the third day of a Group B match of Ranji Trophy here on Thursday.
Sharma hit 18 boundaries in his 398-ball unfinished innings and he was ably supported by Eklavya Dwivedi (90) and Praveen Kumar (83 not out).
At the draw of stumps, Sharma and Kumar were at the crease with Uttar Pradesh leading by 145 runs with three wickets remaining in reply to Baroda's first innings score of 321 yesterday.
Resuming at 134/5, Uttar Pradesh rode on a sixth wicket partnership of 166 runs between overnight batsmen Sharma and Dwivedi and an unconquered 129-run stand between Sharma and Kumar to add 332 runs today.
Irfan Pathan picked up the two wickets that fall today when he dismissed Dwivedi, who hit six boundaries and as many sixes, in the 106th over and Piyush Chawla (27) in the 112th over respectively.
Kumar's 81-ball innings was studded with seven fours and six sixes at Greater Noida Sports Complex Ground.
