The Pakistan wicket-keeper made a strokeful 105 off 130 as the visitors recovered from a poor start against England in the second match of the series.

Before him, England's Jos Buttler and Sri Lanka's Kumar Sangakkara have scored tons at the historic ground.

Coming in to bat at fourth down, the 29-year-old posted two 50+ run partnerships with Babar Azam and Shoaib Malik, before falling to Adil Rashid in the 42nd wicket.

His score is also the highest ever by a Pakistan batsman at the ground. Previous highest was Mohammad Yousuf's 88 in 2004.

Pakistan, batting bat after winning toss, lost the top three batsmen for only two runs inside the fourth over.
