New Delhi: Reacting to the news of Sundar Raman's resignation as IPL COO, Justice Mukul Mudgal on Tuesday said the cricketer administrator should have take this decision earlier.

However, Mr. Mudgal also stated that by stepping down, Raman had done the right thing.


"He should have maybe resigned earlier, but this was the right thing to do," he told ANI.


The Supreme Court had appointed probe commission headed by Justice Mudgal to look into the IPL-6 betting and spot-fixing scandal.


Raman is currently being investigated for his alleged role that scandal, which rocked the IPL in 2013.
