The 39-year-old confirmed that he will play his final ODI in Dambulla on Sunday (3rd ODI), and his last T20 international in Colombo on September 9.

According to a report on ESPNcricinfo, the Lankan selectors have persuaded the veteran right-hander to retire since Angelo Mathews is looking to build a new team for the 2015 World Cup.

Dilshan had already retired from Tests in 2013.
