As per the report in the Express Tribune, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said that it was in talks with Richards to take on the batting consultant role for the upcoming T20 pinnacle event.

Few days back, Richards had expressed his desire to coach the Pakistan cricket team, saying that he will definitely give it a shot if he would be given an offer by the country' cricket board.

However, at the same time, Richards also described current head coach Waqar Younis as a legend and said that the former pace spearhead has been doing a magnificent job for the team.

At the moment, the 63-year-old West Indian is giving his services to Quetta Gladiators in the on-going Pakistan Super League (PSL) as a mentor.
