In the process, the 29-year-old off-spinner has found his newest bunny – Marlon Samuels. It was the sixth time the Indian spinner has taken the wicket of Samuels, only one behind Ed Cowan of Australia.

Ashwin also dismissed another Australian David Warner six times. And by the end of this series, Samuels could easily become Ashwin's favourite bunny.

Samuels has got out only to Muttiah Muralitharan (7) on more occasions than Ashwin.
