2nd T20I: India vs Zimbabwe 2016 - Players to watch out for
Lokesh Rahul has all proper cricketing shots in his repertoire and the onus will once again be on him to provide a solid start for the Men in Blue.
Harare: Men in Blue take on hosts Zimbabwe in the second T20I of the three-match series at the Harare Sports club today.
MS Dhoni & Co are under severe pressure after having lost first match by two runs against the hosts, who fought back after a whitewash in the ODI series.
Graeme Cremer and his men would take a lot of confidence from their win from the previous match and be keen to register a stunning series win against India.
Here are players to watch out for today's match:
Despite Elton Chigumbura being the star for the hosts in the previous match, Zimbabwe fans would want Hamilton Masakadza to play a good knock in the second T20I. The right-hander, who was sacked as skipper ahead of the series, looked in rhythm in the first match before being dismissed by Jasprit Bumrah for 25. Considering the fact that he opened the innings, hosts would be pinning their hopes on their experienced campaigner to play a formidable knock at the top of the order.
After a brilliant run in the ODI series, Lokesh Rahul got off to a horrible start in T20Is, as he was dismissed off the first ball of the innings. The Karnataka batsman has all proper cricketing shots in his repertoire and the onus will once again be on him to provide a solid start for the Men in Blue. Having honed his skills under Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers in the recently concluded IPL 2016, a tournament where he was extremely impressive, Rahul can once again be India's star in the crucial match.
