Chandigarh: Bye-elections to Adampur and Ratia (SC) Assembly constituencies in Haryana, which recently fell vacant, will be held on November 30.
The poll schedule for these constituencies was announced by the Election Commission today, Haryana`s Chief Electoral Officer Sumita Misra said here.
She said that a notification to this effect would be issued on November 5 and last date for filing of nominations would be November 12. The nominations would be scrutinised on November 14 and the last date of withdrawal would be Nov 16. Counting of votes will be held on December 4.
While Adampur seat in Hisar district fell vacant as sitting Haryana Janhit Congress MLA Kuldeep Bishnoi was elected from Hisar Lok Sabha seat in a bye-election, Ratia seat in Fatehabad district fell vacant after the demise of INLD legislator Gian Chand Odh.
Misra said the Model Code of Conduct would come into force with immediate effect in the districts in which the two constituencies fall partly or wholly.
