ISL 2015: FC Pune City vs Atletico de Kolkata - Players to watch out for
FC Pune City will take on unbeaten Atletico de Kolkata side at home.
New Delhi: FC Pune City will take on unbeaten Atletico de Kolkata side at home which promises to be an exciting battle in match No. 14 on Saturday in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2015 at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex Stadium in Pune.
The Stallions are looking for their third victory in this season's ISL. The side lies fourth in the table and a victory could see them go atop. A draw will also see them rise above.
Atletico meanwhile, have continued from where they left from last season and beat Kerala Blasters by a 2-1 margin in their last match.
Pune lost their last encounter at home to the Delhi Dynamos and will want to win at their backyard this time. Atletico will provide a stern test for the hosts and this in all could set the fans for a hard fought battle.
We look at players who could make a major impact in the game for both the teams.
Gourmangi Singh (FC Pune City): The Indian international is a pivotal defender for the Stallions. Gourmangi has been trusted by his coach and he is a solid customer. A lot of Pune's fortunes lies with Gourmangi's performance in keeping the defensive structure intact. The central defender has an excellent range of passing, composure, tackles and interceptions. He will provide a stiff challenge for the ATK defenders.
Borja Fernandez (ATK): The Spanish midfielder has stood tall and delivered in all of ATK's games so far. Borja showed his class and calmness in the centre of the pitch for ATK. That serves as a bonus for his manager and the added responsibility of leading the side looks to get out his best. Fellow midfielders James Gavilan and Javi Lara has also improved and will look to provide much more of a partnership for Borja. Borja will hope to continue with his superb playmaking skills as he remains a top entity for the Atletico de Kolkata side.
