Manchester United to miss Wayne Rooney, Morgan Schneiderlin against Wolfsburg
United need to beat Wolfsburg here to earn themselves the top spot in the group.
Wolfsburg: England captain Wayne Rooney and Morgan Schneiderlin will miss Manchester United's decisive Champions League clash against Wolfsburg on Tuesday, the English football club said on Monday.
Manager Louis van Gaal has a squad of 19 players for the game, with other big names like Marcs Rojo, Luke Shaw and Ander Herrera still out with injuries, the club tweeted on Monday. The injured duo didn't make the trip with the team.
"Injuries mean Rooney, Schneiderlin, Herrera, Jones, Rojo, Valencia and Shaw miss the trip. #mufc," the tweet said.
Defensive midfielder Schneiderlin picked up an injury against West Ham United in an English Premier League encounter some days ago, while for forward Rooney it is an ankle injury which made him sit out the game against West Ham.
