New Delhi: Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy continued his excellent goal scoring form after netting in his 10th consecutive Premier League match.

Vardy equaled former Manchester United legend Ruud van Nistelrooy's record of scoring the most consecutive goals in 10 matches. Vardy celebrated wildly after cutting inside Moussa Sissoko to score a superb goal.

Nistelrooy had earlier achieved the feat in 2003 and had wished Vardy luck in breaking his record after stating records are meant to be broken.


Vardy now has the chance to score again next week and set a new record. Vardy has the highest goals scored in the EPL (13) this season so far.


Leicester who went up at stroke of half-time against Newcastle United, won the game 3-0 on Saturday, and currently sit on top of the Premier League table.
