Patna: CPI general secretary A B Bardhan on Thursday flayed the Centre for its `flawed` economic policies that led to spiralling price rise and inflation. "Inflation and price rise has sky rocketed, contrary to the claims of the UPA government as its flawed economic policies has made the life of people miserable and difficult," he said while addressing a seminar here. He said the country was passing through a crisis and deterioration in economic, political, cultural and social situations due to wrong doings of the political class.
The prevalence of political instability in the country could be gauged by the fact that the two major coalition partners of the UPA government - NCP and TMC - were speaking in discordant voices to embarrass the senior coalition partner - the Congress - time and again, he said.
The Congress was being virtually dictated by the NCP and TMC to make policy decisions even as it appeared that the Congress was looking up to other parties to add to the UPA so that to could complete its term, he said.
Bardhan also took a dig at the BJP and said its three ministers in Karnataka government were caught on tapes watching lewd pictures on their mobile phones and said the saffron party has lost moral right to preach others about conducting themselves.
