Patna: RJD MLA Dinesh Yadav on Friday briefly sat on the steps of the assembly premises to protest against his arrest by the Bhojpur police in november.
Yadav sat for about 30 minutes before the assembly was to begin its business on the first day of the winter session. Describing his arrest as illegal, Yadav who represents Jagdishpur assembly constituency, claimed that the police had arrested him on November 21 without an arrest warrant. The Bhojpur police had arrested Yadav and about 50 RJD supporters while agitating outside the district collectorate office demanding water for farmers from the Sone canal. PTI
