Delhi-Mumbai rail route blocked after derailment
Traffic on the New Delhi-Mumbai trunk rail route has come to a standstill for over 19 hours, Monday, as the tracks remained blocked owing to the derailment of a goods train near Kota in Rajasthan.

New Delhi: Traffic on the New Delhi-Mumbai trunk rail route has come to a standstill for over 19 hours, Monday, as the tracks remained blocked owing to the derailment of a goods train near Kota in Rajasthan. Nineteen wagons of a goods train - carrying fertilizers from Bhanwara to Muktsar - jumped the tracks between Shrimahiveerji and Hindon railway track disrupting traffic on the route. Railway officials are working on a war footing to restore the tracks. There was no casualty or injury to anyone due to the accident.
Over two dozen express/superfast trains have been affected by the accident.
