Three policemen suspended over lockup death
Three policemen, including a circle police inspector, were suspended from service today in connection with an alleged lockup death at Gol Gumbaz police station here.

connection with an alleged lockup death at Gol Gumbaz police
station here.
G P Badgi, the inspector, and A H Halkavde and B H Kashinkunti, both sub-inspectors, were suspended for showing "negligence in their duty" following the death of Raffiq Mulla, 24, who allegedly committed suicide yesterday in the lockup by hanging himself from the window sill, a police statement said. They were suspended by the in charge Superintendent of Police, S F Trasgar.
A disciplinary inquiry had also been ordered against the trio, Trasgar said in the statement.
The case has been handed over to Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
