New Delhi: Former cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar who owns Indian Super League franchise Kerala Blasters, will be present in the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Kochi, to cheer his side. Kerala Blasters take on NorthEast United FC in their season opener on October 6.

Sachin who has been a passionate football lover was present in many of Kerala's matches in the first season. Kerala Blasters went on to qualify for the final where they eventually lost to Atletico de Kolkata.


Sachin posted a photo on Twitter with fans and fellow cricketers Yuvraj Singh and Zaheer Khan during his visit in one of the matches last season. He stated that last season's experience was fantastic.



He also added that fans will be coming out to support his side and is looking forward to experiencing the passion and support.



The Indian Super League starts on October 3, Saturday, with defending champions Atletico travelling south to face Chennaiyin FC.
