New Delhi: Hours before kick-off of UEFA Champions League final match between Madrid clubs — Real and Atletico, Milan's metro service was evacuated after a suspicious package was found in one of the city's train stations on Saturday.

According to reports in Italian media, two lines on the metro service was halted for an hour today morning after security cameras filmed a woman leaving parcels on the stairs of the Piazza Cadorna metro station.


The final match will be played at historic San Siro stadium, which is the home of Italian giants AC Milan and Inter Milan.


But in farcical turn of events, the Milan police found the packages containing baby gifts.


Reports claimed that the busy M1 line was interrupted between the stations of Cairoli and Pagano while the M2 line was suspended between Garibaldi and Porta Genova.


Fans are likely to travel through Cadorna to get to the stadium.


Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are playing in the Champions League final for the second time in three years.
