Rather than going for a direct shoot, while taking the penalty, Messi decided to pass to Suarez for an easy finish during Barca's comfortable 6-1 win over Celta in their La Liga clash last month.

"If I'd have been on the pitch for Messi's indirect penalty, there would have been punches thrown, regardless of whether it was the A, the B, the C or the D division, for sure there would have been punches thrown," Maradona was quoted as saying by goal.com.

Interestingly, Maradona had earlier coached compatriot Messi during the 2010 World Cup.
