Nashik: Reacting to the resignation of Kripashankar Singh as the chief of Mumbai Congress on Wednesday, Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan here said that Singh had quit following the party`s bad performance in Mumbai civic polls.
The Chief Minister was talking to reporters after inaugurating the 55th All-India Police Duty Meet at Maharashtra Police Academy this evening. The announcement of Singh`s resignation came soon after the Bombay High Court directed his prosecution on corruption charges. PTI
