Pak plane with MPs makes emergency landing
A Pak International Airlines flight with 118 passengers including several parliamentarians made an emergency landing at Multan airport.

made an emergency landing at Multan airport on Tuesday after its
electronic generators malfunctioned, an official said.
The Boeing 737 carrying 118 passengers and crew left had taken off from Islamabad for Karachi this afternoon.
"The plane had to make a technical landing in Multan, the nearst airport from Islamabad, after its electronic generators developed a fault," PIA General Manager (Public Relations) Sultan Ahmed said.
He said the plane would be ready to fly again in a couple of hours after the fault is repaired. President Asif Ali Zardari’s assistant political secretary Fauzia Wahab was on the flight.
"Suddenly the plane`s lights went off and the pilot told us not to worry as we would land in Multan to get the fault repaired," she said.
Muttahida Qaumi Movement lawmaker Waseem Akhtar said: "God gave us another life." He said passengers had started reciting verses from the Quran when all the lights in the plane went off.
