Amritsar: A 19-member team of Indian students and teachers returned home after a five-day visit to Pakistan where they visited leading schools and tourist sites in Lahore.
Arranged by Indian group Routes 2 Roots along with a Pakistani NGO, the tour is part of an ongoing programme that involves exposing young minds in the two countries to each other`s societies.
The students and teachers, drawn from Mumbai and New Delhi, crossed back into India by foot from the Wagah border and reached Amritsar, a team member said.
The three schools from Delhi which contributed to the visit are Sanskriti School, St Paul`s School and B.R. Mehta School.
In Lahore, the Indian students from Class 8 and 9 and teachers interacted with their counterparts of City School and two branches of ILM School.
The Indians also visited Lahore Museum, Lahore Fort, Badshahi Mosque, Minar-i-Pakistan, Jahangir`s Tomb and a gurudwara.
