Gurgaon: Local lad Ainesh Ahluwalia returned an even-par 72 to shot into lead in senior Category `A` of the Albatross International Junior Golf Championship here today.
Ahluwalia`s tournament tally now stands at two-over 146, with one round to go at the Jack Nicklaus-designed Classic Golf Resort.
Overnight joint leader Kunaal Bhatia shot a 75 to occupy second place at 148 while Ankur Chadha was a stroke behind at 149, after shooting four-over 76 today.
In Category B, Thailand`s Natthawat Suvajanakorn fired a level par 72 to lead the field at 145, while Manu Gandas and Junior World Champion Thai`s Korntawach Julamool were tied second at 146 after shooting 72 each. Abhishek Kuhar (72), Harjot Singh (73) and overnight leader Honey Baisoya (76) were tied fourth at 148.
Category C saw Piyush Sangwan consolidate his lead with a round of one-under par 71. He sits atop the leaderboard with a tally of 139, with Thai girl Benyapa Niphatsophon (73) trailing him by seven strokes at 146.
Feroze Garewal (74) was placed third at 148, while Korea`s Tae Seung Kim (75) was a three strokes behind at 151.
Junior world champion Puwit Anupansoebsai of Thailand brought in the day`s best card of five-under par 67 to open up a huge 19-stroke lead in Category D.
In Category E, Harshjeet Singh Sethi (40) maintained his lead at 83 while Tanmay (46) and Advait Chutke - USA (45) were tied second at 90. PTI
