New Delhi: In a huge controversy, an international hockey player has accused Indian hockey skipper Sardar Singh of sexually and mentally harassing her.

Ashpal Bhogal is the 21-year-old who has filed a complaint at the Koom Kalan police station at Sri Bhaini Shaib in Ludhiana on Tuesday against the Indian skipper.


She was born in England, and was the first British Asian woman to represent England in hockey in 2010 as part of junior women's hockey team and plays club hockey in the Investec Women's Premier League for Beeston hockey club.


Sardar and Ashpal are said to have met during the 2012 London Olympics, where India had finished last.


In August last year, Ashpal had shared a photograph with Sardar on Twitter and also said that the two will be getting married soon.
