    India have shaved England's lead and are looking to understand the opponent's game a little better. The English have shown exceptional communication and have gelled really well. Their strokes have been accurate and the placement has been perfect. England are 15-11 up in the second game. India reach 12 as they kill the loose drop with a smash. What a rally here!!! India end up claiming an important point here. It's 16-14 in favour of England but another unforced error or judgement has cost India another point. India struggle again at the net and push England closer to the gold. It's 18-15 now. 18-16 now. And once again India have given another point at the net. It's 19-16. That's it. India have lost in the final 0-2 to England. India get another silver to end their CWG campaign.

    Things don't seem to be working for India in the men's doubles final. The English pair has been dominating the show with a planned assault. They have been delivering power shots at the body line, cramping them for space. England are 8-5 ahead in the second game and India need a brave effort here to claw back.

    The unforced errors have hurt India in the first game. England need just two points to wrap up the first game. Additionally, the English pair seems to have taken the Psychological advantage over the Indians. That's it. England take the first game 21-13. 

  • The Indian pair has made an over ambitious start here and have given England 5-2 lead. England are bringing in their experience in the final and are forcing the Indians to commit silly mistakes. Now England are leading 8-5. Indians are struggling at the net as Rankireddy fails to clear a dipping push. England go 11-7 at the break.

    Lee Chong Wei has been uncatchable in this final game. Inching closer to the gold. Leads 19-13. But Srikanth is not ready to give up yet. Delivers a cross-court winner this time to take a point. Concedes another at the net. It's over now. Lee Chong Wei has won the gold. What a comeback here by the 35-year-old Malaysian. He has dominated the final two games and has shown his class of a world class player. Srikanth will have to settle for a silver here.

    The Indian pair of Dipika Pallikal and Joshna Chinappa has lost the first game 11-9 and are 7-7 in the second game.

    In the third game, the situation doesn't look good for India. Lee Chong Wei is having a five-point lead. 7-2 is the score. Srikanth hits a smash and collects his third point and then concedes a point at the net. But Chong Wei is cruising towards the gold now. Maintaining that lead well and pushing Srikanth on the back foot now. Gets his 11th point with an accurate and powerful smash down the line.

    Lee Chong Wei is having a cushion of three-point lead in the second game. But Srikanth gets a point at the net. And then concedes another. Malaysia 16-13 India at this point. And now Chong Wei bringing his A game into play and getting points on the trot. With three points, he has reached 19-14 in the second game. Game point for Lee now. And he takes it easily. The game has gone to the decider. For the first time in the Games, Srikanth has dropped a game. India 1-1 Malaysia.

    Meanwhile, Dipika Pallikal and Joshna Chinappa are currently playing in the final of the women's double against New Zealand. The news is that India are 3-5 behind in the first game.

    Achanta Sharath Kamal beats England's Samuel Walker 4-1 to win the bronze medal in the men's singles. 

  • This is getting intense as Chong Wei is showing his experience now. Kills this high toss by Srikanth by a cross-court smash. He is leading 5-4. But Srikanth has levelled now with two unforced errors as Chong Wei returned long. Now Srikanth launches an attack on the body and Lee has no answer to it. Brings Lee back with a wasted over-ambitious drive. Luckily, Lee also does the same again. 7-6. Lee Chong Wei comes back again with a powerful smash. 7-7

    Achanta Sharath Kamal wins the fourth game and takes 3-1 lead in the bronze medal match of the men's singles against England

    This is getting neck and neck now. 17-17. Srikanth earns a point on a poor return to go 18-17 up. Chong Wei loses another point as his smash lands just out. Takes a review but unsuccessful. After a long rally, Srikanth now hits out. 19-18 is the score. Chong Wei scores as Srikanth couldn't address the drop well. It's game point now for Srikanth and he has won it. India 1-0 against Malaysia.

    Lee Chong Wei has clawed his way back. From power game, Chong Wei has started to use a lot of skill and is testing Srikanth at the net. It's 15-15 now. Srikanth wins another point as Chong Wei fails to retrieve a body line smash.

    England's Samuel Walker wins third game 11-9 against Achanta Sharath Kamal.

    Srikanth has made a comeback here and he has kept his composure. With two cross-court smashes, Srikanth has taken the lead 9-7 in the opening game. Makes it 10-7. Lee Chong Wei produces a drop to make it 8-10. And another drop by Wei. Srikanth apes him to take lead at the break. it's 11-9.

    And Lee Chong Wei produces a sizzling smash to start the final. Follows it up another down the line smash. Putting Srikanth underpressure and forces Srikanth to falter at the net. This is complete domination here as Chong Wei is using the body line smash to stun Srikanth. Thankfully, Srikanth opens his account and follows it up with another smash on the open court. It's 5-2 in favour of the Malaysian. Srikanth is making a comeback as he gets another two to cut the lead. 

    Meanwhile, from table tennis, Achanta Sharath Kamal wins the second game in the bronze medal match against Walker. Needs another 2 games to take the bronze.

    The singles final between Kidambi Srikanth and Lee Chong Wei is about to start.

    Achanta Sharath Kamal's bronze medal match against England's Samuel Walker is underway now. The Indian is leading 6-5 in the first game. Walker makes it 6-6. Achanta gets another point on the forehand. Gets three points on the trot and now takes the first game 11-7. 

  • That was one classic match between Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu. But that's not all as Kidambi Srikanth will take on Lee Chong Wei in the final of the men's singles final in a few minutes from now.

    This is getting close now. Saina has made it 14-16 but Sindhu holding her own and fighting it out. Now Sindhu shows good judgement and picks one point to led by three points. Makes it four (18-14) by a powerful smash. This has been a great rally here and Saina takes the point. Longest rally with 39 strokes. And fatigue gets the better off Sindhu here. Saina is clawing back as she is 18-19. 19-19 Saina. And then Sindhu shows composure and delivers a cross-court smash to go to the 20th point. Game point here. Must win for Saina. And Saina levels it. Deuce here. Saina gets the 21st point and goes to match point. Let's see if Sindhu can hold her back. Saina is another match point away. Saina wins, gets 26th god for India. PV Sindhu gets India 17th silver. 

  • And now Sindhu gives Saina a taste of her own medicine. Delivers a cross-court smash. But we have seen a series of cross-court smashes. Saina makes a comeback here killing the rally with a power packed smash. Sindhu still in lead at 14-11. Saina is making her move a lot a in the court. 

  • Sindhu is leading 7-5 in the second game but she is being tested by Saina. Brilliant rally here by Sindhu. Now she is playing like Saina avoiding power play and using technique and skill to manoeuvre Saina in the court. Collects a net point. But Saina roars back with a crosscourt forehand. In this game, she has collected quite a few points with that cross court smash. Sindhu pumped here as Saina falters at the net. 11-8 is the score at the break and Sindhu is in lead here.

    Saina is dominating the rallies and is dictating her terms. Gets to 14-9. This is a brilliant show by Saina as she is mixing up her touches with smashes. Her net play has been clever and she is cleverly making Sindhu hop through the court. Sindhu is under pressure as her execution goes bad now and finds the net on the drop shot. And Sindhu is struggling to clear the net and concedes two points here. Saina goes to 17-11 in the first game. But Sindhu pulls one back with deft touch closer to the net. That is followed by a cross-court forehand. It's 13-17 in Saina's favour. Unlike Saina, Sindhu hasn't succeeded in winning points on the trot. But Saina is deceptive with her shots as she displays a smash and then at the last moment changes it to a drop. She has collected to points on the trot to reach 20-14. Sindhu is now probing Saina's back hand and waits her to lob the shuttle. From five match points, Saina has lost three. Sindhu pulling up now. The score is 20-18. That's it Saina takes the first game by 21-18. Leads the final 1-0.

    Saina gets the first point. Sindhu gets two back. This is going to be fierce. Saina will test Sindhu a lot at the net and that is what she is making sure. The last match between these two saw Sindhu winning but that doesn't look to put any kind of psychological pressure on Saina. There are good rallies seen here and Sindhu is killing it with power. Saina is experienced and is employing acute angles here. And that nimble net play of Saina gets her three-point lead 7-4 in the first game. Saina is testing Sindhu will skill and now employs power to go to 9-4 in the first game. Sindhu is really struggling here as she conceded two points by hitting it out. Saina is leading 11-6 at the break in the first game.

    England's mixed doubles pair of Ellis/Smith have made a superb comeback here. From 7-13, they have taken it to 16-18. But the Adcocks pick an important here to reach 19. And this is match point now. And after a string of smashes, the husband and wife pair of Adcocks have defended their mixed doubles title. Win gold, Ellis/Smith take Silver after 2-1 defeat.

    An English mixed doubles final is underway. The Adcock couple is leading in the decider by 13-7. The Gold and Silver will be England's. Lets see if this couple can take home gold.

    And India red are making it short and sweet. They are 7-3 already and just four points away from the bronze. It's 9-3 and it looks like a lacklustre performance from the India Blue. Match point now. That's it. The bronze goes to Manika Batra and Sathiyan Gnanasekaran as they demolish Mouma Das and Sharath Kamal 3-0. Good start for India as the medals tally reaches 60.

    And India Red represented by Batra/Gnanasekaran have been cruising through the second game as they have notched up six points at the trot and the scoreline reads 6-0 in their favour. And India blue pull one back after seven points. But India Red are storming in this game as they are 10-2 now. And that's it. Batra/Gnanasekaran leading 2-0 in the bronze medal game.

    The mixed doubles bronze medal match is underway between Achanta Sharath Kamal/Mouma Das and Sathiyan Gnanasekaran/Manika Batra. It is the Indian face-off and it Gnanasekaran/Batra take the first game with a sweeping backhand. They win 11-6 and will have to win another two games to take the bronze.

But the biggest game of Sunday could be the Indian face-off between Hyderabad girls Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu for the gold medal in the women's singles.
