The team said it would send written apologies after a fracas near the victory podium, after Sebastian Vettel finished first and Kimi Raikkonen was third.

According to reports, Ferrari mechanics pushed past security staff, knocking barriers to the floor, to get closer to Vettel.

A team representative was summoned to see stewards later and offered "to send a written unconditional apology to those who were affected", a statement from organisers said.

The first and third result was the best of the season for Ferrari, who lie second in the constructors` standings behind Mercedes.
