Mick was ecstatic after winning two races in one day.
New Delhi: Son of legendary Formula One drive Michael Schumacher, Mick won twice on Saturday in German Formula 4 championships.
The 17-year-old Mick, first won in the early afternoon, following a mass pile-up involving more than ten cars. And then in the evening, Schumacher once again managed to clinch another race.
Mick was ecstatic after winning two races in one day.
"Of course, you can't wish for more than winning twice in two races and I'm obviously delighted.
"The speed was there, the car was good, everything is okay," Schumacher Jr. told broadcaster Sport1 at the Lausitzring, near Dresden.
It's a special win for Schimacher family as it came at a time when the record seven-time F1 champion Michel Schumacher continues his rehabilitation at home from head injuries suffered in a skiing accident in December 2013.
With two back-to-back wins, Mick has closed the drivers' championships gap to just 11 points.
