Manipur government wants a CBI probe into the death of a student from the state in Bangalore as there has been no conclusive finding so far.
Imphal: The Manipur government wants a CBI probe into the death of a student from the state in Bangalore as there has been no conclusive finding so far, Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh said.
"We have been insisting upon the Centre to institute a CBI enquiry, as there has been no conclusive finding," the CM said about Loitam Richard who was found dead with injuries in his hostel room in Bangalore on April 19.
The CM said to establish the facts and circumstances of the death, the state government has urged the Centre to depute a neutral agency like CBI to probe the case.
The Manipur government was in touch with the Karnataka government to ascertain the circumstances of the student`s death, he said.
