Srinagar: Several JKLF leaders, including Vice Chairman Bashir Ahmad Bhat, were on Friday detained by the police at Pattan in north Kashmir`s Baramulla district, official sources said.
Bhat and three other JKLF leaders were taken into preventive custody at Pattan, 27 kms from here, as they were heading towards Palhallan area for addressing a gathering after Friday prayers, they said. A JKLF spokesman condemned the police action saying the government on one hand challenges the separatists to prove their representative character and on the other, prevents them from meeting the people.
