New Delhi: Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan was the centre of attraction at Indian wrestler Geeta Phogat's wedding ceremony. The actor, who will be playing the role of Geeta's father Mahavir in upcoming movie Dangal, arrived in her ancestral village Balali near Haryana on Sunday.

Balali might not be a popular place in India's map, but the excitement was different on Sunday thousands of villagers had been sitting on rooftops since morning waiting for the arrival of the superstar.


The actor arrived at around 4 pm after taking a commercial flight and then a chartered one, followed by a road journey.


Here's how the villagers and Phogat family welcomed Aamir:



 



Dressed in traditional kurta-pyajama, Aamir greeted the Phogat family and other guests with folded hands. He is also said to have personally supervised the buying of gifts for both sides, the Phogats and the groom's family.


Actor Sakshi Tanwar, who plays Aamir's wife in Dangal was also present with him. Geeta's marriage to fellow wrestler Pawan Kumar, was a dream come true for her villagers, as they got to see one of the biggest names in Bollywood come to their village.
