05:12 PM IST: Indian shooters have had a disappointing campaign in Rio so far, can Abhinav Bindra and Gagan Narang change that? They begin their campaign in less than 20 mins.



There will be plenty of action on Day 3 where apart from shooting and archery events, Indian men's and women's hockey teams will be in action as well.


To begin with, India have huge expectations from Abhinav Bindra, country's only individual gold medalist, to make the nation proud with yet another medal. The ace shooter, who won a gold medal at Beijing Olympics in 2008, would want to make the best of what is his final apperance at the mega event.


Gagan Narang is another shooter, who will be participating in the men's 10m Air pistol event along with Bindra. Narang won a medal at London Olympics and he too has a great chance of becoming the only second Olympian after wrestler Sushil Kumar to win two medals for the country in individual events.


On the other hand, Laxmirani Majhi will be the lone Indian archer featuring on Day 3.


After winning their opening encounters against Ireland and Japan respectively, India's men's and hockey teams have tougher tests ahead of them on Day 3.


PR Sreejesh and his men are up against Germany, who are currently the reigning Olympic champions.


Indian women's team will lock horns with Great Britain, who are yet another competitive side.
