New Delhi: As a mark of respect for India's first medallist at Rio Olympics, Sakshi Malik, Air India on Friday offered business class tickets to the wrestler.

According to reports, Air India offered two complimentary business class tickets for Sakshi and her companion.


Interestingly, Sakshi had recently revealed that she took up sports so she could fly in an airplane across the globe.


 


 


The announcement was made by Air India chief  Ashwani Lohani.


In a letter addressed to Sakshi Malik, Lohani said, "Air India is indeed proud to offer you two(for you and your companion) return business class between any two destinations of the entire Air India network valid for a period of one year."


Meanwhile, it's goodies showering on her. While the Haryana government has promised Rs 2.5 crore and a job, the Ministry of Railways has promoted her.


The Uttar Pradesh government will give her Rs 3.11 lakh as part of the Rani Laxmibai award.
