The Jamaican won gold in all the three events he participated in.


Having dominated his sport for over a decade now, Bolt perhaps felt the urge to try his hand at something new. 


At 1:40 AM, a couple of days after winning his ninth gold, Bolt attempted a javelin throw at the Olympics Stadium.


Bolt registered a distance of 56 metres, which by any standards was a great effort for a beginner. 


Thomas Rohler won the gold in Rio with an effort of 90.3m, while the smallest distance during the women's event was 57.7m.
