No respite from biting cold in Punjab & Haryana
Cold wave on Monday continued to sweep Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh with minimum temperature at most places settling at 3 to 6 notches below normal.

In Punjab, Jalandhar at minus 0.9 deg C was the coldest place. Patiala and Ludhiana also reeled under biting cold recording minimum 3.8 deg C and 3.4 deg C respectively. Intense cold also swept Amritsar, which recorded a low of 2.6 deg C.
Hisar and Karnal in Haryana registered 2.4 deg C and 3.4 deg C respectively, a MeT official said. Rohtak registered a low of 5.4 deg C, while it was 5.2 deg C in Ambala.
