Leander-Sania have a very good chance of winning medal at Rio Olympics: Martina Navratilova
Both Sania and Leander were in good form in 2015!
New Delhi: Tennis legend Martina Navratilova has said that Leander Paes and Sania Mirza have a great chance of winning a medal at the Rio Olympics next year.
Speaking to CNN IBN, the 59-year-old said that the pair must play together as they are India's best bet of winning a medal in tennis. She said that if not the gold medal, the duo could bag a medal at the biggest sporting extravaganza.
Earlier, Sania and Mahesh Bhupathi defeated Paes-Navratilova 7-5 7-5 to win the Kolkata leg of the Tennis Masters as a prelude to the IPTL on Wednesday.
Paes is all set to play in the second season of IPTL.
Sania, along with her Swiss partner Martina Hingis, have taken the tennis world by storm as the Indo-Swiss pair of secured the year-end WTA doubles number one ranking after an exceptional season, which included title winning campaigns in Wimbledon and US Open.
