New York: Third-seeded Swiss Stan Wawrinka won two consecutive sets to lead 2-1 against defending champion Djokovic in the third set of the US Open Final.


Wawrinka won the third set of the US Open men`s final 7-5 against Novak Djokovic on Sunday to take a two-sets-to-one lead over the Serbian.


The Swiss had leveled the match by winning the second set 6-4 after world number one Djokovic won the opening set 7-6 (7/1).


The third-seeded Swiss also won the second set of the US Open men`s final 6-4 against the world number one to level the championship match at one set apiece after Djockovic had taken the first set 7-6 (7/1).
