New Delhi: Britain's Andy Murray defeated Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 7-6 6-1 3-6 4-6 6-1 to advance into the semi-final of Wimbledon 2016.

Murray was looking for an easy victory after he won the first two sets. But as expected, Tsonga made a comeback and to level scores at 2-2.


Upset with the way he performed in the third and the fourth set, Murray pulled up his socks in the decider, where his opponent proved to be a no show.


The 29-year-old Briton now sets his sights on Czech 10th seed Tomas Berdych in Friday`s semi-final.
