Jio4GVoice app attains `Video Calling` support: All you need to know
Latest update has also brought persistent incoming call notifications which will make the phone calls more distinctly audible to the user.
New Delhi: Reliance Jio's 4GVoice app has received video calling support for VoLTE phones along with persistent incoming call notifications. To recall, the app can be used to make calls from phones supporting Jio SIM.
Jio 4GVoice app uses Jio without VoLTE capable phone, sends text messages and even makes calls via JioFi 4G hotspot on Android. The new video calling support feature is available with iOS 1.6 version.
While previous version didn't allow users to make video calls (only used for calls or send SMSes), the version updated to Jio 4GVoice now enables VoLTE phone users to make video calls through the app. Subsequently, a tiny video calling button also shows up next to the voice calling button for all the contacts.
The iOS app does not support JioFi devices. For the video calling to work, evidently, user at other end should also have Jio4GVoice app installed on their phone along with a working Jio SIM.
Latest update has also brought persistent incoming call notifications which will make the phone calls more distinctly audible to the user.
Earlier VoLTE phone users with Jio SIM could just use the normal phone dialler to make calls, now they have got reason to download Jio4GVoice app. Jio4GVoice had some additional features include an 'urgent call button' which shows up on users' phone contacts.
One can also share his/her loaction or images while in a call. Though these features are rarely used and could easily be ignored. Video calling feature may compel the users to download Jio4GVoice app.
