It has been observed by several users that the limit in the duration of a single call is five hours. While some reported that after one hour itself, caller could sometimes start to hear some disturbances in the connection. Also, some conjectures quote that the restrictions affect only a few customers.

Although Reliance Jio enables unlimited calls on its network, the duration of any call can only be five hours at a stretch. The Jio subscriber may face the boundation irrespective of making call to a Jio or non-Jio network.

If in case the caller exceeds the limit, their outgoing calls would be discontinued for the day. Subsequently, they would have to top up their Jio account with Rs 149 to restore the service.

Reportedly, these restrictions are in a queue with instructions from  telecom regulator TRAI to ensure that there is no misuse of the service. Contemporary telecom companies such as Airtel and Vodafone also maintain some restrictions on daily usage on their network.

Reliance Jio doesn't impose any restrictions on calls until they do not exceed the five hour limit. In other words, for instance, you are making ten calls in a day each having one hour duration, you would still be able to enjoy the perks of Reliance Jio's services without any disturbances.
