Mumbai: Kapil Sharma is all set to receive the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award for the second time this Thursday! The star comedian, who had made headlines a couple of months back for all wrong reasons, will be receiving the award at a suburban auditorium here.

According to DNA, Kapil, who had been chosen for the honour in 2014 also, had to collect the award from a stage co-ordinator last time because he turned up very late for the event. He apparently reached so late that the dignitaries and the audiences had all left.


Besides Kapil, Priyanka Chopra, Juhi Chawla, music-director duo Anand Milind, ‘Dangal’ director Nitesh Tiwari are among awardees this year.


CBFC chief Pahlaj Nihalani, State Cabinet Minister Subhash Desai and city Mayor Vishwanath Mahadeshwar are expected to grace the event.
