This announcement was made earlier this year in February, making Shaktimaan fans super excited. In his latest chat with Brut India, actor Mukesh Khanna talked about the iconic character's superpowers.

Mukesh Khanna added, "I wish I had superpowers. You see, I could have done things, which nobody, no leader wants to do. They want to stay in their power; in their respective seats in Parliament. But they're just fighting. There has to be one power called Shaktimaan. 'Just sit down. Do the work.'..I openly say that today's problems can only be solved by Shaktimaan. They cannot be solved by any president of any country."

Sony Pictures International Productions has acquired the film adaptation rights of India’s most coveted superhero IP - ‘Shaktimaan’ to reimagine it as a superhero trilogy for the big screen, to be headlined by one of India’s major superstars.

The superhero franchise is going to be helmed by one of the country’s top filmmakers. 'Shaktimaan’, to date, remains India’s most iconic superhero brand.
