Beaches are exotic. But did you know that there are more beaches in India, or any Indian city that you could actually be aware of? One of such states is Odisha. Popular for its coastline, Odisha has a rich 485 km-long coastline along the Bay of Bengal. Although many people know about the Puri beach, located in the holy city of Lord Jagannath – many are not even aware that there are so many other less discovered, travelled beaches in other parts of Odisha.

Balighai


This exotic yet little-known beach is a mere 8 km away from the Puri beach. The beauty of this beach is its pristine casuarina trees. If you visit it in winters, you could also witness the olive ridley turtles and migratory birds!


Chandipur


One of the most famous of beaches in Odisha, this beach is just 16-kilometre away from Balasore Railway station. This amazing beach also has major tourist places nearby like Aradi and Chandaneswar.


Paradeep


About 124 kilometres away from capital city of Odisha - Bhubansewar, this beach is pretty famous for its crystal blue water and being a home to the biggest port. Come and delve into its marine beauty!


Gahirmatha


Again a home to nesting olive ridley sea turles, this striking beach is located near Bhitarkanika mangroves in Odisha. It also has a marine wildlife sanctuary in Odisha .


Ramchandi


Situated on the convergence of river Kusabhadra and the Bay of Bengal, this beauteous beach is merely 7 km away from Konark temple in Odisha. The Ramchandi temple is also situated about 10 km along the beach.


Gopalpur 


Located 15 km from Berhampur, this place once used to be commercial plot until it turned to be a tourist destination. This is one of the most visited tourist destination in Odisha.
