The accused have been identified as Shaki Jaan, 24, Anuj, 25, Rajindra, 22, and Kunal, 25.

"On Saturday evening, we came across a video in which a woman was being assaulted by the four accused. Following this, we registered a case under several sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC)," a senior officer said.

The Gautam Budh Nagar police verified the video and located the girl, who then told them that last month, she was heading back home when these men stopped her near a deserted road, tore her clothes, assaulted her, and tried to force themselves on her.

"These men filmed the incident and then threatened her to not disclose the incident to anyone," the officer added.

The police then conducted raids at their homes on Sunday morning and arrested them. During interrogation, the four confessed to the crime and stated that they wanted the video to go viral in their village.
