New Delhi: In yet another incident of road accident due to low visibility, as many as ten cars crashed into each other on Lucknow-Agra Expressway in the early hours of a foggy Monday.

The pileup took place near Bangarmau in Unnao district of Uttar Pradesh when the ten cars crashed one-by-one due to dense fog cover and low visibility. While several passengers in the cars have suffered serious injuries, there has been no report of any fatality.


Most parts of north India comes under a blanket of fog in winter months - reducing visibility and making driving both difficult and dangerous. While numerous warnings are issued each year, every year sees road accidents causing either serious injuries or cutting short precious lives.


It is not just road journeys which become difficult. On Tuesday morning, as many as 28 trains arrived late at the New Delhi Railway Station while another 18 had to be cancelled due to low visibility.
