Bakrid: Why double standard politics on Corona?

Given the threat of the third wave of COVID, UP has stopped the Kanwar Yatra, but the Kerala government has decided to relax the COVID Protocol on the occasion of Bakrid, on which controversy has arisen. Questions are being raised, why are political opportunities being explored even in this disaster of the pandemic.
