For the post of Speaker of the Assembly, BJP has fielded first-time MLA Rahul Narvekar, while Maha Vikas Aghadi  has fielded Shiv Sena MLA Rajan Salvi. Shiv Sena MLA Rajan Salvi on Saturday filed his nomination as Maha Vikas Aghadi's candidate for the post of Speaker of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly.
