Kashmir`s Cricket Bat Industry under threat, seeks Afforestation Drive

Bat manufacturers are in a urgent need for an afforestation drive, else the Kashmir willow will be extinct in the next five years. The bat manufacturing factories, which employed close to 100,000 people at one time, are fast disappearing. The reason: lack of quality willow.
